About Us

The Story Nook was created from a story close to my heart.

As a parent, I wanted to create an opportunity for my son someone who enjoys working, loves books, and finds purpose in being part of something meaningful. Like many families, we discovered that there aren’t always enough opportunities in the workforce for individuals with special needs. So instead of waiting for the right opportunity, I decided to create one.

That decision became The Story Nook.

What started as a way to build a place of purpose for my son quickly grew into something more a space where people can connect, share stories, and feel a true sense of belonging. Books have always had a way of bringing people together, and I wanted to create an environment where that connection could be felt by everyone who walks through the door.

Giving back is at the heart of what we do. Through The Story Nook, we are committed to supporting programs in the Indianapolis community that provide resources, opportunities, and support for individuals with special needs.
